Accessing Our Archive of Goodness - Wednesday Evening Service with Russ Legear

I remember when I was kid, I loved walking through my school's library. It felt like a place filled with limitless possibilities, each book holding a new idea, and sometimes, a new world. Even that musty paper smell that can only come from thousands of books fills me with joy every time I think about it. Our mind is an incredibly powerful instrument. It, too, holds the power to create new ideas, and even new worlds. My mind has been an invaluable tool on my spiritual journey, even though it wasn't always that way.  This Wednesday Evening Service at 7pm, we will explore just how powerful our minds can be when approached with the right spiritual techniques--cultivating the ability to embrace emotions of joy, happiness, and love no matter where we are or what's going on in our lives.  I'm using my mind right now to envision each and every person in our Social Hall enjoying community, creativity, and the beauty of Christopher Frtizsche's voice and guitar--and it feels...

Inviting the Sacred: A Midweek Pause for Peace

Finding time to reconnect with peace and presence can feel elusive during a busy week. Yet, even a few moments of stillness can transform our inner world. That’s the heart of Wednesday Meditation: Inviting the Sacred , a weekly gathering designed to create space for reflection, connection, and renewal. Every Wednesday evening, from 6:00 to 6:45 pm PST, participants come together on Zoom for a guided meditation led by Rev. Siota Belle . This facilitator-led session welcomes meditators of all experience levels, offering a gentle invitation to explore sacredness in the community. Whether you’re new to meditation or have been practicing for years, the session provides a supportive environment to explore what ...

Tonight we are going to take this further by examining practical tools we can use to help us deal with uncertainty.  I remember when I was first going off to college, living on my own. It was the first time I ever lived away from my parents, and while I had a lot of excitement, I was also riddled with anxiety because I simply didn't know what to expect. As an introvert, I was terrified of being surrounded by all these new people--especially terrified that they were going to judge me!  I wish I had the spiritual tools back then that I know now, because there are things I could have done to embrace my excitement while also confronting my uncertainty, so that the unknown didn't have to be so scary.  Tonight we will explore the N.O.T.I.C.E. practice Dr. Edward shared in his past talk. Our exploration will be wrapped in the musical beauty of Christopher Fritzsche and his acoustic guitar....
