Wednesday Wisdom in January 2020

Dawid Zawila, unsplash.com The New Year brings new Wednesday Wisdom experiences. All of these events are free, and love offerings are gratefully received. Every Wednesday from 6 to 6:45 pm, Rev. Siota Belle leads a meditation circle in Waggoner Halls. It's called Inviting the Sacred . Whether you are a longtime meditator or new to the practice, you are welcome. Four months out of the year, you are invited to register for  Lunchtime Learning , a free one-hour class from noon to 1 pm. January's class is led by Dr. Edward Viljoen. For those of you who registered ahead or at the first class, here are the topics: January 8 - Goals January 15 - Vision January 22 - Affirmations January 29 - Release Now and then throughout the year, there are special Wednesday evenings. On January 29, at 7 pm, join Karen Drucker as she leads us in a Sacred Singing Night . In community, we'll enjoy beautiful songs, prayer, and stillness. All are welcome to this free event.

Thanksgiving Eve Service, 7 pm, Wednesday, November 27

Photo by Lukasz Szmigiel on Unsplash Please join us on Wednesday evening, November 27, to celebrate what we are grateful for, with music, words, and spiritual practice. Dr. Edward Viljoen will speak. Music is provided by the One Heart Choir, Christopher Fritzsche, Claire Victor and a circle of excellent musicians.  You will have a chance to consider what you want to be grateful for next year and jot it down on a notecard that we'll mail back to you in November 2020. Your bringing a pen or pencil along with a postage stamp for your envelope is appreciated.   Your friends and family are welcome to join in this lovely family-friendly service. It begins at 7 pm in the sanctuary. There will not be an evening class on Thanksgiving Eve.

Free Class Exploring the Reciprocal Universe with Dr. Edward Viljoen, Wednesday, August 28, 7 pm

This evening Dr. Edward completes his class series on the reciprocal nature of the universe. His focus is "What thought can do, surely thought can undo." So much of our experience comes from what we think about what's happening, not always what is happening. The discussion tonight reminds us we always have the freedom to change our thoughts. This free class begins at 7 pm in Waggoner Hall, North Wing. At 6:15 pm, Room 11 is open for those who would like to meditate before class. All are welcome. Love offerings are gratefully received.
