To live a compassionate life is to live a life fully aligned with Spirit. Compassion is the ability for us to identify with, and work to alleviate, suffering. Compassion is the spiritual principle of Oneness in action.
In tonight's service, I will lead us through a meditation and conversation about compassion so that we might find new ways to cultivate it in our daily activities.
As the 14th Dalai Lama says, "If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion."
