The Space Between Endings and Beginnings

As we approach the final Wednesday Evening Service of 2023, I invite you to join us in a special gathering that promises to be both reflective and inspiring.

The transition from one year to the next is a unique period. It's a time when we find ourselves in a delicate space between concluding the old and welcoming the new. This space is not just a temporal gap; it's a moment rich with potential and profound insight. However, navigating this transition can be challenging. Some of us might rush towards new beginnings without fully acknowledging and integrating the lessons of the past year. Others might find themselves clinging to the past, hesitant to step forward into the promising yet unknown future.

Our service this Wednesday, led by Dr. Edward Viljoen, aims to explore this intriguing interlude. We'll discuss how to honor our past experiences while courageously embracing what lies ahead. This session is not just about bidding farewell to the old year but also about preparing ourselves mentally and spiritually for the journey ahead.

Adding to the serenity of the evening will be the meditation music by Rev. Russ Legear, setting the perfect tone for introspection and inner peace.

This service is particularly beneficial for those of you planning to participate in the upcoming "Vision Your Life" workshop in January. Visioning is an empowering spiritual practice that helps you connect with your inner wisdom and goodness. On Sunday, January 7, from 1 to 3 pm, join Rev. Russ for a workshop that promises to be both enlightening and enjoyable.

During the workshop, we will engage in visioning not only for ourselves but also for our Center. Moreover, we'll be creating vision boards, a creative and enjoyable activity that helps manifest the visions received through the process. We'll provide poster boards and various craft materials so you can create a beautiful and meaningful representation of your inner wisdom.

Vision boards serve as visual reminders of our aspirations and dreams. They are not just collages of images and words but are powerful tools that can guide us toward realizing our goals and intentions.

So, whether you're looking to gain clarity for the coming year, seeking to connect deeper with your inner self, or simply want to enjoy a moment of calm and community, our Wednesday Evening Service is the perfect opportunity.

Come be part of this special evening. Let's gather to reflect, release, and ready ourselves for the remarkable journey that awaits us in the new year.

Sign up for the "Vision Your Life" workshop here and mark your calendars for an evening of introspection and inspiration. We look forward to seeing you there!

"Oneness" - Wednesday Evening Service with Rev. Russ

#1 - Oneness Spirit (whatever we choose to call the infinite “something”) is the source of all that is, and Spirit is all that is. Everything is made of Spirit and is a unique expression of The Infinite. What is Oneness? We hear this word quite a bit at the Center, but what does it really mean, and how is it useful in my life?  These are just some of the questions we will answer in tonight's Wednesday Evening Service as we embark upon our journey exploring the ten core concepts of the Science of Mind and Spirit. Join us at 7pm for music, freshly baked bread and tea, and an inviting community where we will learn all about Oneness.  See you soon! -Russ

"Spirit Is An Artist" - Wednesday Evening Service with Rev. Russ

Every breath we take, every new friend we make; the tallest snowy mountaintop to the darkest depths of the sea--all is an act of creation. In fact, because Spirit is all there is, that means that we, too, are endlessly creating. Whether we know it or not.  In tonight's Wednesday Evening Service, we continue our exploration of the Ten Core Concepts of the Science of Mind and Spirit with the third--the creative nature of Spirit. We'll share in spiritual exercises designed to grow your awareness of your creative nature so you can tap into it to paint the life of your dreams. And all will be wrapped in an atmosphere of music, freshly baked bread, and loving community.  See you soon! -Russ

"Living On a Prayer" - Wednesday Evening Service with Rev. Russ

Whether he knew it or not, Bon Jovi was affirming a powerful prayer in his iconic song, "Living On a Prayer." One of the lyrics goes like this: We've got to hold on to what we've got Cause it doesn't make a difference If we make it or not We've got each other and that's a lot For love - well give it a shot   Whooah, we're half way there Livin on a prayer Take my hand and we'll make it - I swear Livin on a prayer Tonight in our continuing series exploring the ten core concepts of the Science of Mind and Spirit, we will explore prayer--known as Spiritual Mind Treatment in the Science of Mind--and how we can use it to shift our mind from a focus on all that appears wrong, toward a focus on life that is rooted in compassion, love, and possibility.  See at the Center at 7pm! -Russ
