"In God I Trust", Rev. Janet Tobin, 7 pm, Wednesday, October 25, Waggoner Hall, North Wing

In times of change, questions arise. How can I help? What’s the best way to do this? How do I know that what I can offer is what’s needed? We often wonder what to do, and how to serve others who are distressed. Reliable guidance and an expectancy of good are parts of the way forward in difficult times.

Connecting with Spirit within and the support of loving friends are both sources of strength for us and help us to restore our equilibrium. We are all part of the solution, so we are called to bring our own gifts and talents to the conversations that are happening around recent events in the world.

This coming Wednesday, October 25, Rev Janet Tobin will speak about this topic, and explore our reliance on Spirit in her talk entitled “In God I trust.” Join us at the Center for Spiritual Living, Santa Rosa at 7 pm, and plan on staying a bit after the service for light snacks and conversations with others in our community.

See you on Wednesday, in Waggoner Hall (Room 10), North Wing!

"Oneness" - Wednesday Evening Service with Rev. Russ

#1 - Oneness Spirit (whatever we choose to call the infinite “something”) is the source of all that is, and Spirit is all that is. Everything is made of Spirit and is a unique expression of The Infinite. What is Oneness? We hear this word quite a bit at the Center, but what does it really mean, and how is it useful in my life?  These are just some of the questions we will answer in tonight's Wednesday Evening Service as we embark upon our journey exploring the ten core concepts of the Science of Mind and Spirit. Join us at 7pm for music, freshly baked bread and tea, and an inviting community where we will learn all about Oneness.  See you soon! -Russ

"Spirit Is An Artist" - Wednesday Evening Service with Rev. Russ

Every breath we take, every new friend we make; the tallest snowy mountaintop to the darkest depths of the sea--all is an act of creation. In fact, because Spirit is all there is, that means that we, too, are endlessly creating. Whether we know it or not.  In tonight's Wednesday Evening Service, we continue our exploration of the Ten Core Concepts of the Science of Mind and Spirit with the third--the creative nature of Spirit. We'll share in spiritual exercises designed to grow your awareness of your creative nature so you can tap into it to paint the life of your dreams. And all will be wrapped in an atmosphere of music, freshly baked bread, and loving community.  See you soon! -Russ

Your Friend Within - New Year's Day Wednesday Evening Service with Rev. Russ

For much of my life I went it alone. I thought I had to do everything myself, that there was nobody who was willing to help me. This was a challenging way to approach my life--and it was a difficult path, it turns out, I didn't need to follow.  In our experiential New Year's Day Wednesday Evening Service (try saying that three times fast!), I'll share with you a spiritual concept that I wish I knew when I was determined to go it alone: how we can nurture a relationship with what Ernest Holmes calls "The Friend Within," that aspect of our spiritual existence that is available to us 24/7 as our coach and best friend.  Tonight will be filled with music, we will set intentions, and we will connect with our Friend Within so that we might have all the love and support needed to bring that intention to life. I look forward to seeing everyone at the Center at 7pm. -Russ
